If there are too many applicants, only the top 24,000 students will be allowed to take the first test, which is the MCQ test. If more than 24,000 students have the same GPA, then marks in Math, Physics, Chemistry, and English in HSC will be used to finalize the list for the MCQ test.
The MCQ test will be held in up to three shifts. From the MCQ test results, RUET will select the top 8,000 students for the next test, which is the written test. This selection will be proportional to the number of students in each shift.
