The Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) Admission Process has been Started for the 2024-2025 academic year. It outlines the steps you need to take to apply online, pay the application fee, get your admit card, and understand how the admission results are determined. KUET Admission 2025
The online application for KUET admission 2025 started on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at 10:00 AM. The last date for submitting the online application was Saturday, December 14, 2024, until 11:59 PM. After the Online Application Deadline, Eligible Candidates list was Released. The list of candidates was published December 30, 2024. Admit card download started, January 1, 2025. The KUET admission test was held on Saturday, January 11, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Based on the KUET Admission Circular 2025 and Prospectus, Roadmap for the Academic Session 2024-2025 are given below.

Application Eligibility
To be eligible for the KUET Admission test, Bangladeshi applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Nationality: Applicants must be citizens of Bangladesh.
- Education Year: Applicants must have passed Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) or equivalent exam in 2024. ‘A’ Level certificate holders from November 2023 are also eligible.
- SSC/Equivalent Exam: Applicants must have passed Secondary School Certificate (SSC) or equivalent exam in 2021 or 2022 from any recognized board in Bangladesh. They need a minimum GPA of 4.00.
- HSC/Equivalent Exam Subject Requirements:
- Applicants need a minimum GPA of 4.00 separately in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry in HSC/equivalent exams from a recognized board in Bangladesh.
- They also need a minimum GPA of 3.00 in English.
- The combined GPA of these four subjects (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English) must be at least 18.00.
- For foreign board qualifications, equivalent grades in these subjects are required.
- For Biomedical Engineering, applicants need a minimum GPA of 4.00 in Biology at HSC or equivalent level.
- GCE ‘O’ and ‘A’ Level:
- GCE ‘O’ Level candidates need to pass with a minimum B grade in at least five subjects, including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English.
- GCE ‘A’ Level candidates need to pass with a minimum B grade separately in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
- For Biomedical Engineering, GCE ‘A’ Level candidates need a minimum B grade in Biology.
- Foreign Education:
- Applicants from foreign institutions with a 12-year education system, who passed HSC/equivalent in 2023, need at least 80% marks or equivalent grades separately in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English in their final exam.
- They also need an average of 70% marks or equivalent grades in Secondary/equivalent exams.
How to Apply
KUET Admission Application will be continue from 4 December to 14 December 2024. To apply online, follow these steps:
Step 1: Fill out the Online Application
- Go to the website: admission.kuet.ac.bd.
- Fill out the online application form correctly.
- Upload your photo and signature as instructed.
- Photo size should be approximately 300 x 350 pixels and maximum 75 KB.
- Signature size should be approximately 300 x 80 pixels and maximum 20 KB.
- Image format should be .jpg or .jpeg.
- Do not upload photos or signatures taken with a camera or mobile phone. Scanned images of photos and signatures are required.
- After filling out the form, click the “Preview” button.
- Check the “Preview of Application” page carefully.
- If you need to make corrections, click the “Update” button to edit.
- If all information is correct, click the “Submit” button to submit your application.
- After submission, you will get a “Confirmation” page. Keep this page for future reference.
- To download the “Receipt of Application”, go to Applicant’s Dashboard and log in.
- Click on “Receipt of Application” and download the PDF copy. Keep it for your records.
Step 2: Application Fee Payment
- Pay the application fee of 1200 BDT (Twelve Hundred Taka) for each group.
- You can pay through the SSL payment gateway.
Step 3: Collect Money Receipt
- After paying the application fee via SSL payment gateway, go to admission.kuet.ac.bd.
- Click on the “Applicant’s Login” link.
- Login to the Applicant’s Dashboard using your Application No. and Password.
- Click on the “Download Money Receipt” link.
- Download and print the PDF version of your money receipt.

KUET Eligible List
KUET will make a list of candidates who can take the admission test. Only Eligible Candidates can be Download the Admit Card and Take part in the Admission Test.
A merit list will be made based on the total GPA in four subjects in HSC exam: Math, Physics, Chemistry, and English. From all valid applications, the top 20,000 candidates from this merit list will get to take the admission test. If more than one candidate is at the 20,000th position, KUET will select a minimum number from them based on GPA in these subjects in order: Math, Physics, Chemistry, and English.

KUET Admit Card 2025
After the list of eligible candidates is announced, you can get your Admit Card. KUET Admit Card 2025 will be Available to Download from 1 January 2025. To Download your Admit Card, follow the Steps below.
- Go to the website: admission.kuet.ac.bd.
- Log in to your Applicant’s Dashboard. Use your Application No. and Password.
- Click on “Download Admit Card”.
- You will get a PDF file of your Admit Card.
- Print the Admit Card in color on A4 size paper (80-gram offset paper).
- Keep the Admit Card safely.
Remember, you must have your Admit Card to take the admission test. Without it, you will not be allowed to enter the exam hall. You must also bring your Orginal Registration Card of HSC or Equivalent examination.
KUET Admission Test 2024-2025
The test will be based on the HSC 2024 syllabus for Math, Physics, and Chemistry. Functional English will also be included. The test for both Group ‘Ka’ and Group ‘Kha’ will be in Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) format. Group ‘Kha’ Architecture Department will also have an extra test for freehand drawing.
For every wrong answer in the MCQ test, 25% of the mark for that question will be deducted. If you fill more than one circle for an answer on the OMR sheet, it will be marked as wrong.
You must use a black ballpoint pen to fill the circles on the OMR sheet. Pencil, gel pen, or fountain pen are not allowed. You can use pencil for freehand drawing.
After the Math, Physics, Chemistry, and English test for Group “Kha”, you have to submit the question paper and OMR sheet. The freehand drawing test will start after 15 minutes at 12:45 PM in the same seat.
Mobile phones, smartwatches or any digital devices, geometry boxes, pencil boxes, scales, set squares, compasses, and bags are not allowed in the exam hall. If you are caught using unfair means or misbehaving, your exam will be cancelled.
You cannot enter the exam hall 30 minutes after the exam starts. You cannot leave the exam hall within the first hour of the exam. You must bring your original HSC/equivalent registration card and the downloaded admission test admit card (color print) to the exam hall. You can only bring a ballpoint pen, pencil, eraser, and calculator to the exam hall. Only specific models of calculators are allowed as per the given list. You can bring a maximum of two calculators.
Marks Distribution
KUET admission test in 2025 will be for a total of 500 marks for groups ‘Ka’ and 600 marks for group ‘Kha’. The test will be MCQ type and will be 3 hours long. KUET Admission Result 2025
After Completion the Admission Test, KUET Admission Result 2025 will be Released. It will be Released on or before 9 February 2025. KUET will publish a merit list based on the total marks you get in the written admission test.
From the merit list, 1060 candidates (and 5 candidates from reserved seats) will be selected for admission. Selected candidates must pass a health check by the university doctor. Departments will be assigned based on merit and your preference. KUET will strictly follow this process.
