Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BM&DC) has announced the Dental Admission Circular 2025 for BDS Course. This Admission Circular is for students who want to study in dental colleges and units in Bangladesh. Online applications are invited as per the rules of admission policy 2025. Interested students can apply online through the dgme.teletalk.com.bd website.

BDS Admission 2025

BDS Admission Application has been Started for the Government and Private Dental Colleges and Units in Bangladesh. For details about online application and admission to BDS courses, please visit the DGME website and follow the Roadmap below.

  • Online application starts: December 29, 2024, at 10:00 AM.
  • Online application ends: January 20, 2025, at 11:59 PM.
  • Last date for application fee submission: January 21, 2025, at 11:59 PM.
  • Admit card download dates: February 23, 2025, to February 25, 2025.
  • Admission test date: February 28, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

Application Eligibility

To apply for Dental Admission 2025 for the BDS courses, you must meet these requirements:

  • You must be a citizen of Bangladesh.
  • Students who passed HSC/ ‘A’ Level or equivalent exams in 2023 or 2024 can apply for the admission test in the 2024-2025 academic year.
  • If you passed SSC/’O’ Level or equivalent exams before 2021, you cannot apply.
  • You must have passed SSC/’O’ Level or equivalent exam in science group.
  • In HSC/’A’ Level or equivalent exam, you must have science group with Biology, Physics, and Chemistry.
  • You need a total GPA of at least 9.00 in SSC/’O’ Level/equivalent and HSC/’A’ Level/equivalent exams combined.
  • For tribal and non-tribal candidates from hill districts, a combined GPA of at least 8.00 in both exams is required. However, you cannot have a GPA less than 3.50 in any individual exam.
  • For everyone, you must have a minimum grade point of 4.0 in Biology in HSC/’A’ Level/equivalent exam. If you do not have this, you cannot apply.

How to Apply

The Dental Admission form process must be completed online. To apply for BDS admission online, please follow these instructions:

  1. Visit the Admission website: dgme.teletalk.com.bd
  2. Go to the BDS Admission Option.
  3. First, carefully read and understand all the instructions before filling up the online application form.
  4. Before starting the online application, have the necessary information and materials ready. You will need a Teletalk prepaid mobile number to pay the admission test fee of Tk. 1000.
  5. Fill up the Admission form with Required Informations.
  6. Once you submit the fee, you cannot change any information in your application. The submitted application will be considered final.
  7. You need to upload a color photo of yourself. The photo size should be 300 pixels by 300 pixels. The photo file format must be JPG. The photo file size must not be larger than 100 kb.
  8. You also need to upload a scanned signature. The signature size should be 300 pixels by 80 pixels.
  9. When you apply online, it is mandatory to select Government Dhaka Dental College and all Government Medical College Dental Units in your preference list.

Examination Centers

The Dental admission test will be held in the following centers. Each center has a specific code. You need to select your preferred center when you apply online. Here is the list of examination centers and their codes:

Payment Instructions

To pay the Dental admission test fee, you need to use a Teletalk prepaid mobile phone. Follow these steps:

First Step:

  • Go to the Message option on your mobile phone.
  • Type BDS and then give a space.
  • Type your User ID.
  • Send the message to 16222.

Example: Type BDS FRLGCT and send to 16222. (Here, FRLGCT is an example User ID you received after form fill-up). You will get a return SMS. This SMS will have: A PIN number, Your name, Information about the fee of Tk. 1000 that will be deducted, A request for your agreement to pay.

Second Step:

  • Go to the Message option again.
  • Type BDS and then give a space.
  • Type YES and then give a space.
  • Type the PIN number you got in the return SMS from the first step and give a space.
  • Type your choice of four exam center codes. Get the center codes. Write the codes separated by commas.
  • Send this message to 16222.

Example: Type BDS YES 456789 72,76,78,80 and send to 16222. (Here, 456789 is the PIN, and 72, 76, 78, 80 are example center codes).

If you enter the PIN correctly, Tk. 1000 will be deducted from your Teletalk prepaid mobile balance. You will get a return SMS with: The name of your exam center, Your User ID and Your Password. Keep the User ID and Password safe for future use.

From February 23, 2025, you can download your BDS admit card. To download, you need to use your User ID and Password. You will get these after the payment is complete.

Teletalk will send you an SMS about admit card download. The admit card will have your picture with a watermark. If you lose your admit card, you can download it again using the same process.

To Download the Dental Admit Card 2025, follow the steps below.

  1. Go to the dgme.teletalk.com.bd website.
  2. Go to the BDS Admission Option.
  3. Go to the Admit Card Link.
  4. Provide your User ID and Password.
  5. Press the Submit button.
  6. Download the PDF File.
  7. Print it Color and Follow the Instruction.

If you lost your user ID or Password, there are a Recovery link. Use it and Recover your User ID First. Than recover your Password.

Instructions

You must bring these items to the exam hall:

  • A ballpoint pen.
  • A printed color admit card that you downloaded.
  • Your HSC/equivalent exam registration card.

Prohibited Items:

These items are not allowed in the exam hall:

  • Mobile phones.
  • Any digital devices.
  • Calculators.
  • Wristwatches or pocket watches.

If you are caught cheating, creating disturbance, helping others, or taking help from others, your answer paper will be canceled. Strict action will also be taken against you.

Marks Distribution

The Dental admission test 2025 will be based on the HSC syllabus. The written test will be for 100 marks. There will be 100 questions, and each question carries 1 mark. The time for the test is 1 hour.

Subject-wise Marks

  • Biology: 30 marks
  • Chemistry: 25 marks
  • Physics: 20 marks
  • English: 15 marks
  • General Knowledge (Bangladesh & International): 10 marks

Marking System

  • For each correct answer, you will get 1 mark.
  • If you give more than one answer to a question, it will be considered wrong.
  • For each wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.

Minimum Qualifying Marks

  • You must score at least 40 marks in the written test to be considered qualified.
  • If you score less than 40, you will be considered unsuccessful for BDS or similar courses in Bangladesh and abroad.
  • The results of successful candidates will be published with their merit positions.

GPA Marks Calculation

Your GPA in SSC/ ‘O’ Level/ equivalent and HSC/ ‘A’ Level/ equivalent exams will be converted to a total of 100 marks.

  • GPA in SSC/ ‘O’ Level/ equivalent exam multiplied by 10 equals 50 marks (maximum).
  • GPA in HSC/ ‘A’ Level/ equivalent exam multiplied by 10 equals 50 marks (maximum).

Merit Score Calculation

Your merit position will be determined by adding these two scores:

  • Marks obtained in the written admission test.
  • Marks obtained from your GPA in SSC/’O’ Level/equivalent and HSC/’A’ Level/equivalent exams (calculated as described above).

Marks Deduction for Previous Year Students

  • If you passed HSC/’A’ Level/equivalent exam in 2023, 3 marks will be deducted from your total score.
  • If you were admitted to a government medical/dental college/dental unit in the 2023-2024 academic year, 6 marks will be deducted from your total score.

Dental Admission Result 2025

Candidates will be selected for government dental and medical college dental units based on national merit. This is for seats other than those reserved for freedom fighters and tribal students.

A merit-based waiting list will also be published. For reserved seats, selection will be from eligible candidates of those categories, based on merit. The college a selected candidate gets into will be automatically decided based on their merit and college preferences.
